The First Holy Communion programme is called I Belong for both parents and children.

Parents attend a number of sessions with Father Arbo throughout the programme so that they are aware of what their children will be covering at each session. Parents are encouraged to discuss the areas covered at these sessions with their children.

The first part of the programme covers the Sacrament of Reconciliation while the second part deals with the Sacrament of Holy Communion or The Eucharist.

Catechists go through one or two chapters of the book at each session with the children, they learn about things they see and practices followed at Mass and in the Church.

The children receive their First Holy Communion on an agreed Saturday afternoon in June, followed by a welcome Mass and Garden Party on the following Sunday.
