Finance

The Parish Finance Committee (PFC) is drawn from volunteer members of the parish and is responsible  for working with Father Arbo to establish good governance of all fiscal matters relating to the financial management of the parish. Key functions are to:

  • Establish and monitor parish income such as congregational donations, sales of newspapers, rental of the church hall to small groups.
  • Establish and monitor parish expenditure such as maintenance of the church, utility bills, repair and refurbishment, special projects such as the improved sound system in the church, living expenses for Father Arbo.
  • Develop and report detailed annual accounts from the parish to the diocese
  • Approve key items of expenditure in the upkeep of the church and parish house
  • Develop fund raising initiatives to aid the steady progress of the development of the parish and  to meet the costs of extraordinary items of cost
  • Provide opportunities for parishioners to enjoy a regular and committed programme of contributions for the development of parish activities.

Gift Aid:

Parishioners can use the well established route of our gift aid system, joining the scheme enables the parish to reclaim 25% per cent of all donations made and ensures that every parishioner can continue to contribute even when absent from the parish. It has recently established standing orders to enable parishioners to make regular weekly contributions direct from their bank with the minimum difficulty.
